2025 Scholarship

 

Dear High School Seniors, Class of 2025

Peoples Credit Union would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the graduating high school seniors, Class of 2025. This milestone in your life is something that each of you should cherish and embrace with a sense of pride. With this accomplishment, you have laid the necessary groundwork to put yourself on track for a bright and successful future.

The next step for many of you will be enrollment in a college, university, or a vocational/trade school next fall. Peoples Credit Union is pleased to announce that we will be offering four (4) $3,000.00 scholarships. ***This program is open to all members intending to proceed immediately to a college, university or technical institute this summer or next fall, and have maintained a grade point average of no less than 2.5 for the seven (7) semesters preceding graduation.

All prospective applicants MUST provide the following information to one of our Peoples Credit Union branches located in Springfield or Lamar BEFORE 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 14th, 2025;
  • ◻ High School Graduate 2025
  • ◻ Member of Peoples Credit Union
  • ◻ A cover letter providing a brief summation of your high school accomplishments and your future collegiate plans.
  • ◻ One page resume, typed
  • ◻ A completed PCU Scholarship application form
  • ◻ A recent photograph of yourself.
  • ◻ A copy of your high school transcripts.
  • ◻ A completed GPA & Extracurricular Activities form signed by your high school counselor or principal.
  • ◻ One letter of recommendation from a credit union member (non-relatives please).
  • ◻ One letter of recommendation from an acquaintance or mentor, i.e.; a teacher, employer, coach, or clergy.
All applications must be complete and include all information stated above! *Incomplete or missing required components will result in automatic disqualification.*

All qualified applicants will then be asked to participate in a formal interview process with the PCU scholarship committee. Interviews are scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday, March 25th and/or Wednesday, March 26th (subject to change). The winners are encouraged to attend the 2025 Annual Dinner meeting on Friday, April 11th, 2025 to be presented with their scholarships.
